SafariTabs 0.6 is now available for download, providing a set of new features and all important bug fixes. The exact details of the new features in this release were mostly detailed in the preview of version 0.6 at the beginning of the month, but the key new features are:
- The option of choosing which tabs to be restored from the last session when launching Safari.
- The option to force links that open new windows (that is '_blank' links) to open in a new tab.
The second option of forcing links that open new windows to open in a new tab was not originally mentioned in the preview, as at the time it was not yet implemented purely on the basis that I was having a hard time figuring out how to do it. After becoming by far the most popular feature request I finally figured it out and it works quite well.
For a more detailed view of the changes in this release please see the version history and as mentioned in previous posts feedback is always welcome with regard to any aspect of SafariTabs.
