Where I've Been?
Well, nowhere really just not around here. I thought it was about time I posted here again after a rather lengthly absence seeing as things are a bit quieter and I've got a bit time (thats not really true anymore as I've put off posting this for soo long that I've now started back at university and now have more work to do).
So what have I being doing the last couple of months? Well, the projects I was working on and still am at Sun became really interesting and I was spending a lot of time working on them and not on my own personal projects outside of work. In terms of my own projects, I've pretty much all but given up on working on Switch. I would really like to finish it some day, but it was always just the project to work on as a means of learning Objective-C and Cocoa. Speaking of OS X development, its been a while since I've actually done any, the last being SCEvents which to my surprise has been more popular than I originally thought it would be. As a result of this I'll soon be releasing SCEvents under the MIT license to make even more accessible in the commercial sense. I don't want to get into it too much as I'm probably only one of a very few within the Mac development community, but all the hype surrounding the iPhone and iPhone development in general kind of put me off and definitely contributed towards my absence from Mac development. It just didn't interest me, enough said.
Aside from the above, I recently started to re-write Serve with the aim of making it more object oriented while simplifying the number of features it has in the sense of being more generic and less personalised to how it was originally designed. Having said this though, since starting back at university, progress is currently very slow.
I always say it, but I'm going to try and post here a bit more often, probably more to do with code and stuff I've been working on and learnt at Sun.
